Xero Bots
Accounting teams using Xero were spending hours every day on the same repetitive task—logging in, switching between multiple client organizations, reviewing bank accounts, and manually reconciling transactions one by one. With growing client portfolios, this process quickly became a bottleneck, increasing the risk of delays and inconsistencies in financial records. To solve this, we built an automated bank reconciliation bot for Xero that fully streamlines the daily reconciliation process. The bot runs on a scheduled cycle every day and securely logs into Xero. It then iterates through all configured client organizations and their respective bank accounts, identifying unreconciled transactions. Using a combination of rule-based logic and intelligent matching, it automatically reconciles transactions where confidence is high—reducing the need for manual review while maintaining accuracy and control. Once the process is complete, the system compiles a unified HTML report summarizing all reconciliation activity across clients and accounts, and emails it directly to designated recipients. The result is a hands-free reconciliation workflow that saves significant time, reduces human error, and ensures accounting teams stay consistently up to date across all clients.
